No need for a starter capital (absolute zero capital), their whole body, and saliva or through street smart quick communication is their only capital to earn an income twice as much greater compare to any standard government employee here in the Philippines.
No need for education, anybody can do it, but if you are ashamed then forget about it. Be patient to all of serve for, either they pay or not, give a tip, voluntary, or none at all, you can happily take it no matter what donations they give for; to take a note that it is not a mandatory.
No need to wear a white collar job uniform or any well dress.
No Tax, since they can do it wherever street places they want to do it. But some street policemen don’t allow them to operate on that area.
No benefits, No Medicare, No Social Security System, Just tips and bonuses to those kind hearted motorists.
No Boss, they are the owner of their body, they are the boss of their self, and their capital is their self. A very low level form of street traditional income but they are not a puppet, they are not a human dummy where a higher rank official can instantly dictate on “what to do for today, tomorrow or next”, and no problem on getting late on work.
Purely Traditional, because the whole street is their office, their job is to guide company cars, customer cars, delivery cars, public taxi cab cars, or any type of vehicles that go on parking in a building parking lot and goes out too.
Traffic is very heavy and congested.
Without the presence of a police or a building security guard, they are there for sure.
Vehicle owners love them during parking or goes out, no need to worry about heavy traffic, because those Atras Boys (Barker Boys) will take care of everything in expense of a small donation or tip, just to guide their cars to safety and less worry.
A survey is done for how much income they’ve got for the whole day (8am to 8pm) of duty.
Starting from 8am up to 3pm they earn money (more or less) 360 Philippine Pesos;
Then from 4pm up to 8pm they earn again another 310 Philippine Pesos.
And to sum it all, the total earnings they earn for the whole day (more or less) are 670 Philippine Pesos.
Comparing to a standard government employee who earns 300 plus per day (more or less), but it is better compare to Atras Boys or Parking Boys because a Standard Government Employee having the benefits of Social Security System, Year End Bonuses, 13 Month Pay, Privileges, Air-conditioned room, more safer than ever, less pollution, less prone to accidents on the roads.
Whenever I eat on some of the fast food chains here in our place, I can easily saw them; people can easily catch their attention while waiting for the waiter to serve their food order; and especially those passengers who are standing on the road side waiting for an available public jeepney to accommodate.
