Wing Chun Kung Fu: Fook Sau Controlling Hand

Fook Sau is a defensive Wing Chun syllabus to instantly stop or just neutralize opponent’s forward midsection attack is the use of Fook Sau a Chinese Term meaning CONTROLLING HAND.

This is best applied if the sparring opponent attacks you with any type of uppercut directed to your midsection, and the key area location of technique are found not in the wrist but in the forearm area just near the elbow. Forearm area in Chinese Martial Arts known as the BRIDGE, as in bridge-to-bridge sparring positions.

Uppercut hand attack is one of the favorite hand arsenal of sports Western Boxing, and it

is one of the mostly used by the professional pound for pound boxers competition inside the ring. It is classified as a heavy artility. So if your sparring partner attacks you with an Uppercut to hit your chest, then all you have to do is a Fook Sau Controlling Hand (bridge to bridge contact) so that you’ll neutralize your sparrin partner’s fist attack, while keep on sticking both of your forearms, simultaneously your other hand do the rest of the follow-up.

Well, Fook Sau Controlling

Hand is not only classified as a Defensive Movement but is is best to apply as an attacking movement also, and the key area is the elbow part of the Fook Sau is aim only if your sparring partner attempts to attack you with an intention of a double leg takedown for ground attacks. Just steady your Fook Sau Positioning and that’s the trick. Or you may try to do a double Fook Sau positioning to add more security, it will act like a temporary forcefield defensive perimeter to guard your midsection area if you know it correctly.

I try this movement technique before, it works to most of the case scenario, but some are failed because my sparring opponent is alive, and he find ways on how to deal with that situation too. So it is a big advantage if you know some plenty of techniques, the more techniques learned, the better.
